IQA recruiting northeast state reps

by Alex Benepe | September 24th, 2011

The IQA is seeking volunteer state representatives for the following northeast states:

  • New Jersey
  • Pennsylvania
  • Connecticut
  • Rhode Island
  • New Hampshire

State reps are the primary IQA contact for their state. Tasks include maintaining contact information for that state’s teams in the IQA roster for both colleges and high schools, as well as sending out monthly emails to teams about quidditch news and upcoming events.

State reps will also be in charge of gathering a list of upcoming quidditch events that will be taking place in their state. In some cases, some states have volunteers as well.

State reps are expected to work closely with these volunteers, and reps will delegate tasks in order to keep all Quidditch info (rosters and events updated. Meeting deadlines and attention to detail is crucial. Having a great attitude and interpersonal communication skills via Skype, phone and emails is a plus. State reps should be able to answer general questions about quidditch and assist with questions and concerns that teams may have (such as fundraising, starting up a team, etc.).

The main purpose of a state rep is to serve and support his/her state teams, promote their events and connect them with other teams, and help pass information between teams and the IQA and vice versa.

Applicants are not required to be residents or students in the state that they are representing, although it is preferred.

Applicants should email IQA Northeast Director Kristina Moy at k.moy@internationalquidditch.org with their resume and a cover letter.
