A handful of Louisiana and Texas teams are gathering in Houston on Saturday to give players some playing experience before the World Cup.
The mini-tournament runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bear Creek Pioneers Park. More information is available on the event’s Facebook page.
Schools are invited to bring as many teams as they want and games will not count towards IQA rankings.
Already Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, La.), University of New Orleans (New Orleans, La.), Texas A&M (College Station, Tx.) and Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, Tx.) have confirmed attendance. Other teams may register by the end of the week.
Spectators are invited to cheer on athletes.
