Last weekend (October 14-16), some 40+ IQA players and volunteers brought Quidditch to one of the biggest conventions in the Northeast.
New York Comic Con was an absolute hit for the sport, with the NY Badassilisks and NYU Nundus playing in a demo match on Saturday, and Stonybrook and the Jetpack Ninja Dinosaurs doing the same on Sunday.
The fabulous members of NYC HP were wonderful to assist our IQA volunteers at our booth, educating people about Quidditch, promoting the upcoming World Cup and selling some IQA swag (thank you!).
Attendees enjoyed playing Quidditch, and even Kidditch for the first time (and we hope they become potential players for future tournaments!). Here are some highlights from the weekend. More photos at NYCC can be seen by friending the NYC HP Facebook. Photo credits belong to Jonathon Rosenthal of NYC HP.

And that wraps up the IQA convention line-up for 2011, folks. We hope that all teams and volunteers that have helped at every convention has had a blast!
If you have any event or convention suggestions for 2012, or if you would like to join in on planning more IQA convention appearances, please email Kristina Moy (k.moy@internationalquidditch.org) or Logan Anbinder (logan.anbinder@internationalquidditch.org) .
Until then, Mischief Managed!
