The IQA is proud to announce the individuals selected for the World Cup VI Organizing team (WCOT). Scroll down to see larger bio pics and read more about each member.
As shown in the flow chart below (click to enlarge), less than half of the total leadership positions – over 50 – have been filled so far, but almost all of the top positions for the event have been selected, excluding the marketing director. Neither of these levels include general volunteer staff, who are recruited closer to the event, and surpassed 250 members at the fifth World Cup.
The next round of openings will be posted after the bid development process is over, and rather than ask for general applicants, the posting will call for specific jobs. Many of the top event organizers selected for the WCOT 6 worked at the last World Cup, but almost all of them only came in the last few weeks to do on-site work, with the majority of the event planned year-round by only a couple local volunteers. This year, a group dozens strong is going to be planning the event a year in advance, and having seen the event from the inside-out already, they’re in the best position to make World Cup VI superior in every way.
“This is a group of people who are extremely dedicated and eager to learn,” said Alicia Radford, the IQA’s Chief Operating Officer and a major planner of the last two World Cups. “They come from all over the United States to represent the interests of quidditch teams everywhere, and I’m confident that next year’s World Cup will be the most professionally-run, successful World Cup yet.”
Without further ado, the World Cup VI organizing team:

Honestly we have come to nyc for the quidditch world cup each year for the past few years..our kids are not old enough to play YET but have read and are reading the HP books and will play in HS and college. If you move THE WC away from NYC your readers and young supporters will go away. I work in publishing and would be glad to help you grow your fan base…but outside of the NYC
AREA, CAN GET THE SUPPORT FOR THE FUTURE.
fALL WILL BE MORE SUCCESSFUL/ SPRING IS LAX FOR MOST OF US HP READERS
