Official seeker for michigan state university for four years. Michigan state has the most snitch snatches of any team ever. Thus i am the winningest seeker in the world.
I have snitched for just as long, including at the world cup 2011.
For 6 months i have designed and implimented a twice per week seeker-snitch practice seperate of official team practice. This seeks to improve seeker and snitch performance in the field and has proven effective.
I run daily and am a USMC officer candidate, thus trained in hand to hand combat.
In conclusion: i would love to be part of your program! (And to have Alex’s babies)

Hey Mike, now that DADT has been repealed, you totally could have Benepe’s babies!!!! And because you’re a Snitch, that just might be crazy enough to work!

I am a Musical Theater major at UCLA, and I am also the Resident Snitch at UCLA, so I am a fairly uninhibited person. The people who are unaware of Quidditch have a tendency to think that I am on some sort of drug. Fie, fie upon them! I have taken it upon myself to know my campus backwards and forwards, and I now am proud to say that I know virtually every nook and cranny of the UCLA Snitch boundaries. I continue to study the area, and I often times go on parkour runs to keep myself agile.
I also run every day, but to keep things interesting I like to pop my iPod in and dance while I go (the Hairspray soundtrack is fantastic). This helps to a.) put my entire body into motion, b.) keep the joy of snitching alive, and c.) further the idea that I am in fact on drugs. And, though we have done it only once, the UCLA team has also had Snitch/Seeker practices in prep for the 2011 World Cup.
I also am a dancer of 16 years, a black belt in Kung Fu, and, as stated above, an avid runner. Joining the SNUNION would be friggin’ amazing, so I really hope I get chosen!

Hey guys, are you including high schools in this? If so here at Jenks we have two snitches that can snitch within the region. We both run daily and like Mike at Michigan we have two practice a week separate from the team at which we have come up with what i think are pretty good strategies.

Holla quidditch!! I’m a chemistry/nursing student at McGill University in Montreal, QC and have snitched at the past 3 World Cups. Long distance running is my favourite past time. I ran my first marathon this past fall, and it’s probably my proudest, toughest running moment so far.
I wish I could say I had some sort of dancing/gymnastics/combat background, but ha no such luck! God help me do a kart wheel. As far as surviving on the field without that, I believe being lighthearted goes a long way and that audience enjoyment is directly proportional to snitch enjoyment.
Lastly, I find it hilarious that my eyes are closed in this page pic!

I think I am one of the few snitches that hates distance running. I’ve been playing hockey for most of my life and that is how I snitch. I play a very physical, aggressive style in an attempt to wear down the aggressing seekers.

Hello all,
I’ve only Snitched in one World Cup, but I was reffing most of the time (although my true love lies in wearing GOLD). I’m not the best distance runner or sprinter in the world, but what I lack in running endurance I make up for in physicality. I’ve taken to falling back on military close combat training for takedowns and blocking moves, and I’ve found it works pretty well. I guess it also helps that I’m built a little bigger than most Seekers out there.
I have to say my favorite Snitching moment was the Kansas v. Utah game at the World Cup, and I treated the Seeker from Kansas like the hammer throw track and field event. I swung him round and round for about ten seconds before I let go of his broom and sent him barreling off into one of his teammates. Needless to say, it was awesome, although he took it personally and made the Snitch grab about a minute later, haha.
Anyway, I can’t wait to hear all of the awesome stories the rest of the Snitches have!

Hello everyone,
I’ve only snitched at one world cup at this point, and I’ve only been involved in quidditch for two years at this point. But I wrestled all four years of high school and ran track and cross country while playing club soccer. I tend to base my tactics on my sense of the seekers to a fair degree. If I think I can get away with it I will gladly go toe to toe with the seekers and just keep throwing them. But if I feel like I’m under pressure I can fairly easily get some distance on seekers and play them off the seekers.
My favorite snitching moment was probably at Ive’s pond when the Pitt seeker saw me on the field for the second time of the day his immediate reaction? “Oh @#$! not him again!” As a snitch I cannot articulate any more fulfilling compliment than that.
I can’t wait to see where the Snunion is going and to hear some more of my fellow snitches stories.

My favorite snitch grab would have to be my very own first snatch at Wichita State University fall 2010. Not being able to reserve a location on campus WSU held the tournament on a fenced soccer field next to some very dense woods with a dried out creek bed. After what seemed like an hour (thanks to the adrenaline rush) of trekking trough the dense trees filled with brush as high as your waist and large thorn bushes. I spotted the snitch. Rather then Darting to the field he ran to a clearing, where I was thrown onto my back a few times to many. When I had climbed to my feet after a particularly painful fall, I saw the snitch run back into the forest, followed by the KU seeker only 3 yards behind. Jumping to my feet, I darted in after choosing to cut through the brush rather than follow into the narrow creek bed, in a attempt to push the snitch back to the pitch. After glancing over his shoulder the snitch runner changed direction toward the Pitch, seeing me gaining from the side and the KU seeker in hot pursuit. Instantly the trees and brush came to a sudden end as pitch was brought into view. The three of us in single a single file line with me only 4 yards behind the KU seeker. Instead of running towards the soccer field gate entrance the Snitch kept running straight for the pitch. Placing both hands on the fence he bounded over with easy, and calmly began to walk to the center of the pitch. The KU seeker made an abrupt turn to run for the gate, nearly colliding into the fence. Gripping my broom (a wooden bamboo stick) with my right hand and praying that if my broom could ever fly that now would be a good time. As I reached the 4ft barrier, I stretched out my left hand to clasp the fence, brought my right knee into my chest while placing my foot onto the fence, and gave a tremendous push with my right leg I cleared the fence, just 10 yards from the snitch. Both teams began to shout as the runner turned to see me jumping towards him. I manage to reach over his shoulder to grab the snitch and pull it to my chest. In the excitement i began to twirl the sock over my head and fall to the ground.

Im a snitch for the Carleton university team, Im more of a sprinter right now but im working on that. Im also currently learning parkour and hoping that warm weather will give me chance to use my new found skills. I also learn throws and takedowns from a friend who is a black belt.
