Swamp Cup II: returning to Gainesville March 24-25

by Alex Benepe | February 23rd, 2012

The surprise act from World Cup V, University of Florida, has announced the second annual Swamp Cup, to be hosted in Gainesville, FL on March 24-25.

Last year’s attendees will always remember the 2011 Swamp Cup: three days of grueling quidditch accompanied by two nights of amazing parties, hot tubs, and swimming pools.

While the organizers this year have decided to be a littler more sane (just two days of competition), they are still inviting anyone and everyone to come join in the action…and hit up the pool parties afterwards.

Registration and admission is free and the event is open to the public.

The hosts will be providing housing on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“While the organizers this year have decided to be a littler more sane (just two days of competition),”

yeaaaaaaah, i pushed the teams in swamp cup 2011 too hard with the three-day schedule.

i wrote the swamp cup 2011 schedule out when all the data suggested that the average snitch catch occurred at less than 11 minutes. with the park being what it was, the games lasted, on average, about double that. so teams played twice as much as i calculated they would.

i recognize my error. =P
