by Andrea Hill | March 13th, 2012

It was a big day for Keele University quidditch.

On March 10, the young team from Staffordshire, England became the first English team to host a series of International Quidditch Association-regulation matches. It also became the first quidditch team to win such a match.

Keele faced off against University of Leicester (Leicester, England) in three games. Keele took  the first win 30-0, before losing the Leicester 50-10 in the second match. The third and final game was a nail biter that ended in a 40-40 tie after the Keele seeker snatched the snitch. The Keele team was able to snatch the snitch again during overtime to win the match and ultimately dominate the day two games to one.
