The quidditch world tragically lost one of its own this past week.

On Wednesday, May 16, 2012 the Bowling Green State University quidditch team was saddened to learn that a former chaser, Hilary Mankin, passed away suddenly at her apartment in Bowling Green, OH. Hilary was filled with wit, joy, and was someone who always made you laugh. She absolutely loved everything that involved Harry Potter which led her to seek out the newly formed quidditch team in the fall of 2010.
On a personal note, Hilary was a great friend and it will be hard to see this world without her scarf collection or singing Disney music in the car. While this is a tragic time for our quidditch family, we invite the entire quidditch community to take a moment and raise a broom or quaffle for Hilary at 11am EST this Tuesday. More information can be found at this facebook event.
If you would like to send condolences to the BGSU team or Hilary’s family please email your message to Alexis Moody.
We thank you all for your support and brooms UP!
