WC VI Location – Hoth

by Dan Panzarella | May 17th, 2012

World Cup VI Location Selected!

After a long and difficult process of working with teams in each region, comparing bid packages, and consulting with city agencies the World Cup Organizing Committee has decided on a final location:

HOTH

In terms of resources and available transportation, Hoth was the best choice. There is massive amounts of unused, flat (but snowy!) land available for use, an old Rebel Base we can use to warm up in, and serve Hot Chocolate, and the Rebel Alliance has offered their starships to be used as player transport. Getting from field to field, you may lease Tauntauns for $5/hr or snowspeeders for $5,000/hr (fuel ain’t cheap!).

Tickets go on sale immediately.

Players are encouraged to dress warm.

Do we need to sign waivers making the IQA unaccountable for any damages done by potential Imperial invasion?

The Snow Belt Conference fully supports this decision. See all you warm-bloods there.

The ion cannon will fire several shots to make sure that any spectators will be out of the seekers’ flight paths. When you’ve gotten past the audience, proceed directly to the snitch. Understood?
