IQA Snitch Academies

by Eric Andres | July 9th, 2012

Coming soon in a region near you: IQA Snitch Academies! One-day workshops designed to get Snitches up to snuff on tactics and training, IQA Snitch Academies are the way to become the Snitch you always wanted to be!

Whether you want to get a crash course on the most noble occupation where you can do while wearing golden booty shorts, or to get certified to snitch for regional tournaments or World Cup, Snitch Academies will take you to new heights.

Already though the trial phases, IQA Snitch Academies are being set up across the United States to bring the world of academia to our snitch runners. These sessions are designed to train snitches in their age-old art, mastering techniques such as stealth, hand to hand combat, evasion, and other things international super spies snitches should to know. After an instruction period during which snitches are instructed on rules and guidelines, they will hit the fields honing their skills and discovering their talents through some of the most varied, challenging, and fun athletic drills that we’ve ever come up with.

Sign up by clicking on these links, and keep an eye out for future Academies in other regions!

Mid-Atlantic Registration (July 28th)

Northeast Registration (August 4th)

Once snitches have gone through an Academy and have completed the drills and trials to the instructor’s satisfaction, they will be added to the Official IQA Snitch Registry. Certified snitches will be qualified to compete in the Regional Qualifiers, as well as the World Cup!

You do not have to have previous snitching experience to attend. Though recommended, any snitch-hopeful is welcome. We encourage you to tell any of your friends, teammates, siblings, teachers, boyfriends/girlfriends, pets, or parents to attend if they are interested! By the conclusion of the session, you will be a highly trained shenanigan machine!

So far, we have three Academies planned with more in the works. To start it off, the first Official IQA Snitch Academy will be at QuidCon. For those who aren’t going to QuidCon, fear not; there will be many more opportunities. For the snitches-to-be of the Quid-Atlantic (Mid-Atlantic), the next Academy will be held in the oh-so-pretty Richmond, Virginia on July 28th. After that, snitches in the Northeast will be gathering in New York City on August 4th. A Southwestern Academy is currently being planned for sometime in September to be located in Austin, Texas.

Please register to give us an estimate of how many people we should be expecting. We have also set up Facebook events, both of which are listed below, so you can arrange rides. If you are far away from either of the academies, grab your seeker friends and roadtrip it! If your region isn’t represented, email us and let’s start planning.

If you have questions regarding the Academies, curriculum, or general snitching, please feel free to contact us.

Hi! Sorry I didn’t think to check these comments. There will be academies going up all over the country! Hopefully within the year we will be able to have one near CO!

There absolutely will be a California Academy. I’m actually in the process of planning it right now. Expect it to be some time near Winter Break, by the looks of it.
