The IQA is proud to announce the formation of a new video production department! The department is aiming to increase the amount of quality shot quidditch game footage and produce training and announcement videos for the IQA. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced volunteers to embark on this exciting new venture.

Assistant Department Director
The assistant department director’s main duties include keeping up with the master taping schedule, attending other IQA departmental meetings in place of the director if need be, and certifying video crews. The ideal candidate will have some video production experience (although it is not completely necessary), great organizational skills, and will be able to attend all department meetings. Please include a resume and a cover letter that includes your thoughts on the importance of video production for the sport of quidditch.
~5 hours per week.
Director of Editing*
The director of editing’s main duties include editing all footage that is in possession of the department and producing video overlay files to be used in game footage. The ideal candidate must have experience in Photoshop, Final Cut or Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Flash or be a Film Production major. Please send resume, a 3-5 minute example of your editing work** (any type of video is fine but past sports editing is a plus), and an original JPEG/GIF of a mock game video overlay for a quidditch game***.

Director of Production*
The director of production is best described as the creative force behind our productions. Duties include coming up with original video ideas and writing the scripts for these videos that will be released frequently. The ideal candidate must have scriptwriting experience or be a creative writing/english major. Please send a resume, a 5-7 page example of creative writing work (script, short story, or short theatrical scene), and a short outline detailing a snitch training video for people who have never snitched before.

* You may be asked to delegate projects to other volunteers or interns in the near future.
** You may submit multiple videos but the total time of all of the videos must be at least 3 minutes and may not exceed 10 minutes.
