Ever wonder what it was like for Middlebury to hold the first World Cups? Now you can host your own! The IQA is looking for US college teams to host this year’s High School World Cup.
Good applicants will have the following:
- An established quidditch presence at your university
- Support from your university’s establishment to host the event
- Multiple field availability for a weekend in the spring
- A dedicated base of volunteers for the event
- Experience hosting large quidditch tournaments
- Ability to host teams and transport them the day of the event
Interested teams should apply by filling out this form by September 29.

Your lead-in suggests that Middlebury will not be hosting this tournament, despite the fact that they meet all of your criteria.

Hello, I am co-captain of a highschool team in Tulsa, OK. If we think we are up to the challenge will our bid still be excepted even though we are a highschool?
Thanks,

I’m the IQA rep for a team in Mitchell SD. Will we be able to enter even if we aren’t an IQA official team?

I’m with an Australian team… considering this is a World Cup, can we apply to host it, or are you only allowing American teams?

To answer your questions:
1. We intend to have this tournament hosted by a university team, but if I high school has the necessary hosting experience, it will be considered.
2. A team that wants to host should be official. I team that wants to attend will also need to become official.
3. All universities with the appropriate experience are eligible to apply. Any high school team may participate, regardless of their location.

Woah! That’s me! In the ad picture! I was just wondering how the photo was chosen. And second Caroline G’s comment about whether or not the team can use the photo.
