The IQA is pleased to announce another in our soon to be long line of Snitch Academies! This Southwestern Snitch Academy is a one day workshop designed to bring snitches up to a high standard of fairness, athleticism, and comprehensive knowledge about the snitching process.

Previous snitching experience is not required. Already-certified snitches are more than welcome to join as well, since the experience will be beneficial to all involved.  Snitches certified at this academy will be eligible to snitch for IQA tournaments, including regional championships, and, of course, the World Cup.

The Southwest Snitch Academy will be held in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, September 29th. Please register here. Attendees should bring lots of water and a snitch tail (tennis ball in a long tube sock) if possible. Water won’t be provided, so be sure to bring enough to keep hydrated. For anyone who was wondering, please don’t bring props.

Seekers are also welcome to attend, in order to get some good experience and prepare for the drop-dead gorgeousness that is an IQA certified snitch.

Texas Quidditch will be having its weekly scrimmages the day after the academy, and any and all attendees of the academy are welcome to participate. To help alleviate costs (and because Southern Hospitality is totally a thing), Texas Quidditch can offer limited overnight accommodations.
