How do teams qualify for the World Cup?

Each region will be allocated a number of slots in the 60-team World Cup field based on regional Official Member team density on October 7th. A certain number of slots are also reserved for each region equal to the number of teams from that region that placed in the top 16 at World Cup V (the Midwest will receive three additional spots in this manner—thanks to Kansas, Michigan State, and Minnesota!)

Can teams attend multiple Regional Championships?

Due to the nature of Regional Championships as qualifying tournaments for the World Cup, each team may participate in only one Regional each season.

Can my Midwest team attend a different Regional?

You'd be missing out! Teams may apply for a waiver to attend a different Regional Championship. These applications will be evaluated by the IQA's Gameplay and Teams Departments on a case-by-case basis. To obtain a copy of the waiver application, please email Luke Zak.
