Ball State University
The Ball State Quidditch League was founded in the fall of 2009 by Hannah Lindgren and Derek Garibaldi. After many months of recruiting and paperwork, the BSQL had a solid 20 members and official sports club status with Ball State University.
The BSQL is also its own chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance, which is a J.K. Rowling-backed group of Harry Potter-loving people who just want to spread a little love to the parts of the world that need it the most.
Now the BSQL goes by the team name "Horcrux" and is establishing an identity in the Quidditch world. The BSQL has participated in a few tournaments and now is hosting its own. In April 2011 BSQL and PIQA (Purdue Intercollegiate Quidditch Association) co-hosted a successful Quidditch invitational with attendance from schools such as ISU, Loyola, Michigan State among others. Currently we are planning with PIQA the Midwest Cup to be held at Conner Prairie in Indiana on October 2011.
Our goals for the upcoming year is to increase our team and presence at the university. Also going to the World Cup in New York.
