The College of Charleston Quidditch Team became an official club in the spring of 2010. The following semester, the newly formed team traveled to New York City as the first college to represent South Carolina in the IQA World Cup. They finished 12th out of 42. They then hosted home games against Winthrop University in November and Chapin High School in April, winning both tournaments. The team also travelled to Winthrop in February and to the Swamp Cup hosted by the University of Florida in March, where they continued to prove themselves as skilled players of the Quidditch community.
