Maryland Marauders

The Maryland Marauders is a community team from College Park, MD. The team was created when the IQA announced that there were still spots open for the 2011 World Cup. Thus the Marauders was created, filled from alternate players and spectators from the University of Maryland's Maryland Flying Wizard Turtles team. The team's focus is to have fun and enjoy the sport of quidditch, while having the opportunity to play at the ACTUAL Quidditch World Cup!
The Marauders (formed from some members of the original Marauders, some of the UMD Quidditch team, and several friends from teams in New York) travelled to the 2nd Annual Nittany Lion Cup at Penn State University (on March 17, 2012) and won first place in the tournament, going 5-2 throughout the day.
