McGill University
The McGill Quidditch Team was created in 2008 by a group of freshman students in the first week of school. It was kind of a joke at first since we had some friends at Middlebury College playing it. We saw some youtube videos of how the game worked and decided to give it a try. We went to the Dollar store bought some brooms, hoola-hoops and some balls and played in the courtyard of Douglas Hall – a McGill Dormitory. We realized how fun it was and crafted some bylaws and chose our Wizengamot. Three weeks later we were an interim club and we actually won best new club of the year that year. Today our club is a very spirited tight knit group of students from many different backgrounds.
