The Smith College Quidditch team was founded in the spring of 2011 academic year by seven motivated women. It was the first IQA-recognized women's college team.

Smith hosts its last games of the season on Davis Lawn on Smith campus. Matches included: Smith College vs. UMass Amherst, Smith College Nargles vs. Smith College Thestrals (scrimmage teams), and Smith College vs. fans.
