The University of Minnesota Twin Cities got its start in quidditch in August 2010. Immediately a success on campus, the program already involves an over-one-hundred-member intramural league, a competition team which participated in the Fourth Annual World Cup, philanthropic outreach to promote literacy and physical activity, and several cooperations with community businesses. On top of this, the quidditch program won an award for the best on campus rookie group and it is continually growing and improving.
